I found out today that R.K.Sloane died.
His work continues to inspire me.
I admire R.K. Sloane for his ability to completely turn off any internal editor. Sick, hell no, gloriously sick! He showed us things we wish we could sometimes forget but never will.
R.I.P.

Excuse my getting in touch this way, I can't find an email address anywhere.
I saw your carvings on Pandagon, and wondered if a) they're for sale (and if so, what sort of prices do you ask) and b) if you do commissions.
Thanks in anticipation

aeron.
I can't find any info on how he died.
Sucks.
I hope as I get older and I do hope to get older, that I can learn to be more true to my gut and stop worrying about what other people think.

joules,
Sorry, joules I just recently upgraded my blogger to the new google beta and was surprised to see comments on my blog.
I appreciate your interest in my work, but am not currently doing any commissions.
Again I apologize for the delay in answering your question.I'll be working towards another show at Roq La Rue Nov. 2007.I will occasionally do small works that I put up on ebay. I would be glad to add you to my notification list.

Rick sadly died on the operating room table while having surgery. He was having a tumor removed from his throat or there abouts.

I had the honor of meeting him a few times here in Albuquerque. I was even lucky enough to be invited into the secretly disguised studio he had in his house. He is missed greatly!

For the past two years Stay Gold tattoo shop in Albuquerque, in conjunction with Leo Gonzales (shop owner), have put up a memorial art show at the tattoo shop followed by a rock show at the Launchpad. The bands that play are bands that were friends with him or inspired by him. It's a wonderful tribute. Everyone is encouraged to dress as a clown (the more evil & twisted the better)!

Keep an eye out for this years tribute show in October.

RIP Rick!
