I am so damn bad at bloggy stuff. I do OK for a couple of days and then disappear. I tried to carve a rock I found in a field once, using a hammer and a railroad spike. It actually looked pretty good for my first attempt. It was a skull and I ended up using it as a base for a feejee mermaid carving. Here is a guy who really knows his way around a rock. Here is the roughed out letter M relief.It's hard to see without it's paint.It will have a melting M, masked mermaid with a Mohawk and machete with some meat. She is wearing a mitt holding a meditating martian with a monocle and a mustache.There is a martini, a molar, a match, money and a moon in the background.

I made it to Seattle for the opening at RoqLaRue.I am my wife's husband , my kids' father, a guy who loves making stuff,but felt more than a bit awkard talking about myself.Even so I met and spoke with a number of kind and interesting people.
